Gameplay Mechanics

How to get seeds

Farm Shop

At the Server Store, in the survival shopping district, Monika has a chance to sell Corn, Grape, and Tomato seeds. Her trades refresh every once in a while so feel free to check back if she didn't have what you needed.

Sniffer Digging

Sniffers are able to dig up crop seeds, long with an expanded list of other items, check out their drop lists here

Seasons

Seasons last for 28 in game days, they cycle through Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. Plants are only able to grow in specific seasons.

Dry Soil

Soil that is dry, and has not been watered, will result in most plants planted in them dying. Be sure to keep your soil watered

Crows

Crows have a chance to coming in and destroying your crops. A scarecrow is enough to stop them from spawning.

Items

Pot Planter

The pot planter is what you will be planting new crops into. It has a dry and wet version

You can hydrate a pot planter up to 5 times, and you can also use fertilizer with them

Greenhouse Glass

The greenhouse glass allows crops to grow outside of their normal season when placed above the plant/planter

Scarecrow

The scarecrow stops crows from killing your plants in a radius of 7 blocks

Soil Surveyor

Use on a Pot Planter to check what the water level is and what fertilizer was used on it.

Watering Cans

Watering cans are used to water your Pot Planters so that they don't dry out and kill your crops

Fill them up with a water source. They are also used to fill up sprinklers

Copper Watering Can

  • Water Capacity: 3
  • Watering Range: 1×1

Golden Watering Can

  • Water Capacity: 4
  • Watering Range: 1×2

Emerald Watering Can

  • Water Capacity: 5
  • Watering Range: 1×3

Amethyst Watering Can

  • Water Capacity: 3
  • Watering Range: 3×3

Sprinklers

Sprinklers are a semi-automatic method of watering your Pot Planters/Plants to stop the soil from going dry, and your plants dying

You fill them up using a watering can. They will randomly activate and hydrate any planters within range.

Sprinkler 1

  • Watering Range: 1
  • Water Capacity: 4
  • Planter Hydration: 1

Sprinkler 2

  • Watering Range: 2
  • Water Capacity: 5
  • Planter Hydration: 1

Sprinkler 3

  • Watering Range: 2
  • Water Capacity: 3
  • Planter Hydration: 2

Fertilizers

Use on Pot Planters to give the soil an effect depending on what type of fertilizer was used

Fertilizer

Increases Silver and Gold Star produce drops

Speed Grow

Increases the speed at which crops grow

Yield Increasing

Increases crop drop rates

Retaining Soil

Makes water in the soil last for longer

Magic Bottle

Increases the probability of crop variation

Crops

Apple Tree

Apple Trees grow in Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and do not require soil hydration

  • Apples: 1-4

Cabbages

Tomatoes only grow in Spring and Summer, and does not require soil hydration

Yield

  • Cabbage Seeds: 1
  • Cabbages: 1

Chinese Cabbages

Tomatoes only grow in Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and does not require soil hydration

Yield

  • Chinese Cabbage Seeds: 1
  • Chinese Cabbages: 1

Corn

Corn only grows in Summer and Autumn, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Corn Seeds: 1
  • Corn: 1-3

Eggplant

Eggplant only grow in Summer, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Eggplant Seeds: 1
  • Eggplants: 3-6

Garlic

Garlic will grow in all 4 seasons, and does not require soil hydration

Yield

  • Garlic Seeds: 1
  • Garlic: 4

Grapes

Grapes only grow in Spring and Autumn, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

  • Grapes: 3-5

Hops

Hops only grow in Summer, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Hop Seeds: 1
  • Hops: 2-5

Peppers

Peppers only grow in Spring, Summer, and Autumn, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Pepper Seeds: 1
  • Peppers: 3-6

Pineapple

Pineapples only grow in Summer and Autumn, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Pineapple Seeds: 1
  • Pineapples: 1

Pitaya

Pitayas only grow in Spring and Autumn, and require a minimum soil hydration of 1

Yield

  • Pitaya Seeds: 1
  • Pitayas: 3-5

Can also drop Dark Oak Logs when broken

Tomato

Tomatoes only grow in Summer, and require a minimum soil hydration of 3

Yield

  • Tomato Seeds: 1
  • Tomatoes: 1-4
