Making a Mob Farm

Making a mob farm is by no means something specific to Gaytopia, but there are some server specific features that make making mob farms more appealing on the server!!!!

Requirements

You will need a few things to get started making this specific mob farm

Getting Silk Touch 2

To get Silk Touch 2, you will have to use the super enchanting table, it is an enchantment table that lets you pick and choose what enchantments you want on your tools, instead of having to rely on luck. You cannot get the enchantment by other means, unless someone has extracted it to a book from a tool that was enchanted through this method.

Getting Thrifty 1-3

Thrifty is an enchantment that gives you chance for a mob to drop a spawn egg when they are killed with a sword or axe with the thrifty enchantment. The higher the level, the more chance the egg will drop. You can get thrifty through enchanting normally, but the super enchanter will make it a lot easier.

Getting a Mob Spawner

Once you have Silk Touch 2, it is simply a matter of finding a Mob Spawner to mine, Mineshafts and Nether Fortresses are usually a good place to find them. Then you just mine them with your Silk Touch 2 tool and you will get the Mob Spawner, as long as you have $2500 in your balance, otherwise it will just break and not drop anything.

Getting a Mob Egg

Once you have the Thrifty enchantment on a sword or an axe, you can now start killing mobs until you get the spawn egg that you want for your mob farm, it may take a while, especially if the mob you are after is somewhat rare, but it will eventually drop.

How to change a Spawner type

I won't go into depth about how to build your mob farm, there's plenty of videos on YouTube about how to do that. Once you place your Mob Spawner down, just take the Mob Egg, and shift right click the Mob Spawner to change its type. This will only work if you have $3000 in your account.

Other Information

You can level up your mob spawn by right clicking on it. It will open up a menu, this menu will let you spend your experience points to increase the range that mobs will spawn from the Spawner, increase the amount of mobs that spawn, and decrease the delay between how often the Spawner spawns mobs.
