====== Mining for Diamond and Netherite ======

Mining for Diamonds and Ancient Debris can be a time consuming task, especially if you are trying to get a set of Diamond Netherite tools and armor. In this guide, I will show you one method I use to gather the resources needed to upgrade your tools.

===== Diamonds =====

The best level to mine diamonds at is y59. You are going to want 3 pickaxes for this:

  - Enchant one pickaxe with Tunnel 3. This will allow you to quickly mine a 3x3 tunnel with little effort. 
  - Enchant one pickaxe with Silktouch. With McMMO, you have a chance for the silktouched diamond ore to drop two ore blocks instead of one. This chance is greater the higher you McMMO mining level is. 
  - Finally, you want to enchant the last pickaxe with Fortune 3. Place down all the diamond ore you have once you're done, and mine it with your fortune pickaxe.

After about 15-20 minutes of mining, you have the potential to finish with around two stacks of diamonds. This method will work for any ore types (at their respective ideal y-levels).

===== Ancient Debris/Netherite =====

To mine Ancient Debris, you will need access to the Nether, and a means of explosives. You can use beds if you'd like, however its more fun to use TNT. You can make a witch or creeper farm with spawners for gunpowder, gravel can be crafted into sand and sand can be crafted into gravel for the materials to craft TNT.

Once you have your explosive means, you want to go to the nether and make a 1x2 tunnel at y14. Either place a bed down and explode them one at a time, or make a line of TNT in the tunnel and ignite it. Once the explosion is over, inspect the area for any ancient debris. Keep going until you're satisfied. With a high McMMO mining skill, they have an increased chance of dropping 2 Ancient Debris instead of 1.
